| Todd Waddell Goes Pink Posted Friday, 5 February 2010 by BCM Motorsports marketing |
| Todd Waddell in association with DiCandilo Steel City and Muir Motorsports announces that the #60 XXX Sprintcar will have the McGrath Foundation Pink Livery for the Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars Grand Final Event 5th and 6th February at Perth Motorplex Kwinana Beach WA. The Team hopes to add its efforts in attracting awareness though exposure at this nationally recognised Premier Speedway Event and help raise much needed funds through the sale of Pink Wrist Bands through out the event and attracting Personal and Corporate donations for the McGrath Foundation. Former Australian Cricketing great Glenn McGrath and his wife Jane were inspired to create a charity to support women with breast cancer and their families in 2002, after Jane’s initial recovery from breast cancer. However, it was in 2003 when she was re-diagnosed that they realised the importance of having a breast care nurse, something Jane was fortunate enough to have access to for the first time. Someone who could answer the questions only a nurse could answer whilst also being the support needed to unload frustrations and emotions and allowing breast cancer patient to maintain as much normality in there lives as possible. The McGrath Foundation re launched in 2005 with two main objectives: to raise money to place breast care nurses in hospitals right across rural and regional Australia; and to educate young women to become breast aware. Breast cancer is terrible disease that does not discriminate on age, geography or standing in life and has touched many as well in the Speedway Family. Todd and the Team believe there is definite opportunity for our sport to come together in support of this worthwhile cause. Ways you can help: • Come down to the pits on the Race Nights and buy a Pink Wrist Band • Personal and Corporate donations by contacting the Team or visiting www.toddwaddell.com and following the McGrath Foundation Pink Sprintcar link….Please remember to say that your Donation is for …a community event and quote Our Community Event (CE) fundraiser number: CE00597 Breast cancer is a disease that currently affects one in nine Australian women of all ages and backgrounds. Please help the McGrath Foundation support Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. Together, we can make a difference. Richards Waddell Racing would like to thank the following for their generous support and donations for our Pink Sprintcar Appeal on behalf of the McGrath Foundation.
