Consistency Is Paying Off For Maiolo

The "Myalup Missile" Jamie Maiolo is steadily piling on the points as he heads towards a record fifth AHG Sprintcar Series Championship victory.

Maiolo has won two of the thirteen rounds held so far on the west coast, but more importantly he is finishing nearly all of the feature events.

He has notched two second placings and a third - and has recorded top ten finishes in most of the other events.

Following the World Series Sprintcars double-header at the Perth Motorplex - where he was one of only five WA competitors to finish both of the main events - Maiolo has increased his pointscore lead to three figures.

He currently holds a substantial 129 point advantage over Ken Sartori in the AHG Sprintcar Series standings.

There is a spirited battle going on for the minor placings with Sartori a single point clear of David Ellement and fourth placed Luch Monte another 13 points further back.

Round #14 takes place this coming Saturday evening at the Smokefree Collie Speedway.
