Following the Christmas break the AHG Sprintcar Series roars back into action with a double header feast of racing action at the Perth Motorplex (December 26) and the Quit Bunbury Speedway (December 27).

Rounds 6 and 7 of the season long tournament will mark the halfway mark of the competition and the battle for those all-important points will be on in earnest.

Daniel Harding leads the way after playing his double-point Joker card last time out, but he will be away competing in World Series Sprintcars, and will obviously slide down the ladder.

This puts the battle for supremacy in the corner of Cameron Gessner, Jason Kendrick and Shaun Bradford - who have all won A Mains so far this season.

There are many other chances in the field, so top notch racing is assured at both venues.

Ryan Farrell, who started the season so well, must be fancied along with the Watson Express Transport team of David Priolo, Ken Sartori and Robert Watson Jr.

Also in the mix are the Maiolo brothers - Jamie and Bradley - plus veteran Mark Wells and the improved Shane Norris.

An interesting addition to the field at both venues is that of American Sheldon Haudenschild, the son of the legendary Jac Haudenschild, driving for the Keen Race team.
