Kendrick chases Triple Crown glory

AFTER being runner up for the last two feature races of the season Jason Kendrick will be looking for a better result when he contests the Grand Final of the AHG Triple Crown at the Perth Motorplex this Saturday night.

Kendrick has found some great speed and consistency in the last few rounds of the WA sprintcar season and has been rewarded with podium results.

On the last two occasions he has finished second to Ryan Farrell in the mini-series that will end this weekend.

“We are pretty good at the end there, I could catch him (Farrell), we just needed a few lapped cars to get out of my way,” Kendrick said after the last race.

“But some baulked him, some baulked me, it’s just the way it goes.”

Kendrick said he was looking forward to this weekend’s round that will also be the Merger Contracting Gold Cup Grand Final.

Double points are on offer for this show that means Kendrick is a strong chance of winning the Triple Crown cash bonus up for grabs.

It’s a challenge the team is up for and one that team boss Geoff Kendrick believes is achievable.

“We are looking forward to finishing the season off on a high this Saturday night,” Kendrick said.

“A good result would be reward for all the effort the team has put in this season.

“It would also be rewarding for all our sponsors – we can’t thank them enough for all the support they have given us in 2014-15.”
