Farrell Knows How To Win

RECENTLY CROWNED AUSTRALIAN 360 SPRINTCAR CHAMPION RYAN FARRELL IN ACTION IN DARWIN

Ryan Farrell is in my opinion the best WA Sprintcar driver I have even seen in action.

A bold statement you may say - but let's look at the facts.

Over the past 15 seasons of AHG Sprintcar Series competition Farrell has stood on the top step of the podium 49 times.

That's more than double the wins of the second placed Janmie Maiolo (23).

Farrell has been successful at eight of the nine tracks that have hosted AHG Sprintcar Series action - Perth Motorplex 27, Bunbury 14, Kalgoorlie 2, Manjimup 2, Albany 1, Esperance 1, Collie 1 and Margaret River 1.

He has won at least once in 14 of the 15 seasons of the competition - and remember he did not race in the 2013-14 campaign.

The series championship has eluded him - he was second in 2006-07, plus has been third twice in the standings.

However in the past he regularly was a "hired gun" and missed rounds while competing for owners in New South Wales, Victoria or Queensland.

Nevertheless Farrell has been placed in the Top Ten pointscorers eight times.

He also took out the first two rounds of the season ending AHG Triple Crown at the Perth Motorplex earlier this year.

Prior to this, Farrell scored three wins at the Claremont Speedway (March 17, 1994, October 20, 1995 and February 18, 2000).

He has won a total of five World Series Sprintcars main events - more than double the tally of any other WA driver - 2 wins at Manjimup plus one at Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and Albany.

And he had a round at Perth Motorplex in the bag before he rode a wheel and crashed out of contention.

Farrell also has the most Fast Times in AHG Sprintcar Series history - 27 with Maiolo again second on 17.

His career racing resume shows that he has been crowned the WA Sprintcar Champion SEVEN times - one more win than "Mr Sprintcar" Alf Barbagallo.

Farrell has started on the front row of the Australian Sprintcar Championship six times.

He finished second at Murray Bridge (2004-05) and third at Perth Motorplex (2008-09).

Other Top Ten placings were - 5th at Latrobe (2006-07), 6th at Northline (2009-10) and 6th at Bunbury (2014-15).

Recently he brilliantly won the Australian 360 Sprintcar Championship at Northline Speedway for his new team - Keens Race Team.

Expect "Flyin" Ryan Farrell to add to his impressive career statistics this coming season.

One thing for certain is that Farrell knows how to win!!
