SPRINTCAR fans need to lock Saturday, November 18 into their dairy when the Perth Motorplex hosts the annual Scardifield's Smash Repairs King of Wings.

An impressive 58 sprintcars have nominated for this show that is round three of the AHG Sprintcar Series and round five of the SAWA 360 Power Series - as well as the first time the Limited Sprintcars will hit the Motorplex for the season.

Twenty one drivers have put their hand up for the AHG Sprintcar Series round with the biggest nomination being that of former national champion and defending World Series Sprintcars champion James McFadden Racing, who is back in the Monte Motorsport Sprintcar Team W17.

This is a great chance for fans to see JMac in action as he fine tunes his preparations for WSS duties that start in South Australia on Boxing Day.

Shaun Bradford, who claimed the opening round of the AHG Sprintcar Series on October 28, is back as is round two winner Jason Pryde.

Both drivers won on completely different track conditions and both head into next week’s round with confidence.

For Bradford it is one of the limited shows he will be doing this year, while for Pryde it is also more preparation before he too embarks on WSS duties.

Jamie Maiolo, who has claimed a third and a seventh from the first two outings, is expected to put in a strong showing, as is his young brother Brad Maiolo
who is the defending series champion and has had a fourth and a ninth.

Jason Kendrick, another leading contender after narrowing the gap to Pryde to finish second at the last show, improving on his DNF in the season-opener.

Daniel Harding, another WA driver locked into WSS duties this year, is also expected to be chasing a big result - on the back of his fifth last round - a much better result than his DNF in the first event.

Young gun Kaiden Manders, who looked impressive in the first round, but was a spectator last time around, is also one worth watching at this show.

Another who attract plenty of attention is Jamie Oldfield who has made the transition from Late Models to Sprintcars this season - looking solid at every occasion.

In the first two rounds of the 410 competition he has claimed a sixth and a third - despite campaigning with a smaller 360 engine.

This time around Oldfield will be using a bigger 410 motor to give him a bit of extra firepower.

Mitchell Wormall, another to be on the WSS tour later on, will be busy on the night, driving in both the 410 and 360 divisions.

The race meeting will also feature 17, 360 cars and 17, Limited cars.
