Strong field ready for Perth bout

THIRTY two cars have locked in for round 11 of the AHG Sprintcar Series at the Perth Motorplex on Saturday, February 7, that will also be round 10 of ENZED World Series Sprintcars.

Californian Kyle Hirst, fresh from his win at the Warrnambool Classic, returns for the WA-based Monte Motorsport and is expected to be challenged by American-based Sydneysider Brooke Tatnell who again saddles up in the Bunbury-owned Krikke Motorsport team.

Other contracted drivers in the series also making the trip West include current Australian champion Dave Murcott (Vic), Brent Aprile (Qld), Matt Egel (SA), Darren Jensen (Qld), Daniel Harding (WA) and Andrew Wright (NSW).

Other interstaters who will be in Perth include former series and national champion James McFadden, Ian Madsen, Daniel Pestka, last year’s championship winner Steven Lines and Ryan Jones.

They will all be taking on the local posse who are keen to show them the quick way around their local track.
