Bradford ready for round two challenge

SHAUN BRADFORD'S TRIBUTE TO HIS SPONSORS LAST WEEK.

SHAUN Bradford is part of a strong field locked in for round two of the AHG Triple Crown that will be held at the Perth Motorplex this Saturday night.

The third-generation racer will be looking to improve on the results from last week where he crashed out on the back straight on lap 22 of the 30-lap race after having nowhere to go when a car spun out in front of him.

It was a bitter blow for the Bradford who was making up serious ground in the differently-looking #57 machine.

Race fans have become accustomed to Bradford driving two different cars this season – his familiar #57 and the #69 entry owned by Darren Allen.

Last Saturday night he had a different looking car again.

It was the #57 car with a different looking livery.

“We have done this car as a special thing for all our sponsors as an appreciation so yeah just got to thank all of them by giving something back like this,” Bradford said.

He struggled in time trials, being 15th in the 22-car field, putting plenty of pressure on the team to get the car quicker for the heat races.

Bradford then took a sixth and then a win in the heats to start from P12 in the all-important final.
